How to Manually Add a Device to Google Play Protect Certification

If you're being told the "Device is not certified" in the Google Play Store app, then I can show you how to manually certify your smartphone or tablet.

If you unlock the bootloader and root your phone, or maybe you just installed a custom ROM then you have likely seen the message "Device is Not Certified" when checking the About section of the Play Store app. In this video I will show you how to manually certify your phone so that it is Google Play Protect Certified.
We first need to find the Android ID for the device we're looking to certify. On the website Google created to manually certify smartphones or tablets, they say you need to execute some ADB commands to do this but there's a much easier way. We can find the Android ID of our device by installing an application called Device ID by the developer Evozi.
Once installed, let's open up this application and we actually want to copy the code from the second box here, labeled Google Services Framework.
Simply tap the option here and it will give you some details about what this ID is, while also allowing us to copy it to our clipboard. Now we just need to go to the website Google created that allows us to manually register our smartphone or tablet to be Google Play Protect Certified.
Paste that Android ID that we got from the app, check the box to show Google we aren't a robot, and then tap the Register button right below.
It may take some time before the newly registered device is certified with Google Play Protect. But you can keep an eye on this status by checking the About section of the Google Play Store application.

Actually for me after doing this only shows like device is not certified after 24hrs in OnePlus 5T how to certified that😢

@@KowshikRaja-jr9rdweird bro, I don't know why you are not getting certified. I have done this on pixel 4a and Note 9 with evolution ROM and cleared only cache for play store and play services afterwards. No data clear is even required and it's getting certified typically within seconds on my immediate next play store open.

@@MenSHzGR8 for me play store is opening and Google apps is working but some apps not working while check the certificate is not showing there afterwards clear the data and cache its showing device is not certified

@@MenSHzGR8did you relock bootloader before trying that or is it still unlocked? I saw another tutorial asking for clearing the cach and data before trying and still didn't work for me

I did the same thing a couple of times and it work for a couple days, then after those days the error of certification appear again. I don't have any idea how to fix it, i tried a couple of solutions but is the same, work for a while then appear again.

do you know if the google play app is being updated between it working and no longer working? or maybe you are installing OTA updates for Android?

What's the advantages to being certified? My OnePlus 7 Pro has been uncertified for years and I've been just fine.

it used to prevent you from downloading apps from the Play Store (and in some cases, even opening the Play Store app). this seems to have changed over the years as even Google Play Protect still works (scans your phone and alerts you to issues) if your phone isn't certified

try force stopping play store and play services and clearing data then restart... this may fix it

it can take a while. the device in this video is now marked as certified. . .but I'm sure exactly when it changed. i would guess no more than 72 hours

Doesn't work for me. Waited several weeks too, and still not certified. If I reattempt the process, the google page just says this value is already registered.

I'm using a Tab S9+ and it's not working for me either. When I first started using it, I was able to download and use Netflix, however, when I reinstalled it to try and fix an error, it wasn't allowing me to download it. So I think the device used to be certified but now it is not for some reason.

you'll need to find one that is compatible with 64-bit phones (google blocks 32-bit apps on the pixel 7. In ur case, U need to check the device integrity. Usually, phones only pass the basic integrity.

I talked with samsung about this problem but they say that all their phones are certified. So the problem is that its a bug or something else? Because play protect goes well on my phone and i can go on the play store easily but at the bottom of the page says that my device is uncertified

This maybe works in devices that are certified before from factory. Don't works in devices that are not certified from factory. If your device is not certified from factory, don't lose your time.
