Supressing desires that God gave is confusing

It's not about suppression, it's mastering those desires and using them in a positive way. May God help you!

Negative Desires originate with us, god gave us the ability to desire but it is in our control whether we choose to have one or not. The path towards god lessens the possibility of having a negative desire and/or fades away. Just as we created the negative desire through negative thoughts we to can extinguish it. Eg I love food and I desired/craved pig meat, once I understood why it’s prohibited I no longer desired it, same goes with attire, I remembered how much I desired to wear a dress but when I look back I’m so ashamed and no longer desire it. If you have a negative desire it’s usually an indication of your state. When you know that if you were to fulfil that negative desire and regret it later then that’s an indication that it shouldn’t be desired. Remember god is mercy and where’s the mercy did such a thing. How can one desire something that is harmful for them.
