Thanks, really helpful. One tip for you, put a high pass filter on when recording, there's a lot of low frequency noise when trucks/cars pass by! Not too bad, but a bit distracting when listening on a decent sound system.

It throws people off the track to demonstrate what really looks like martellato as a staccato - at least in your first demonstration. The particular gritty sound that you have on that stroke in parts - And longer bow strokes are more difficult for students who are starting out , also , at least students I've encountered
