@8:00 "you have to remain 5cm off the white line..." Yeah, this is what an F1 driver is all about. Coming in to that corner at speeds that would make me blackout (even in a road car), and you're measuring centimetres to avoid a sliver of paint because it's a bit damp... It's at this point I'd like to give a shout out to the guys at the back of the grid - they might not be winning races, but they are still doing the same thing in a car that they can't even trust. Hats off to those drivers - hopefully soon, someone will give George Russell a good car soon !

Nico talked about how draining it was for him in f1 because he spent no free time during the season, always 100% about the race at all times - this is not normal for even the best drivers. f1 drivers are not friends during that state of mind. When nico retired, all of that stress and emotions went away, so he is able to reflect and their relationship was ultimately mended or at least cooled down after that.

Spa has a special place in my heart. As a new fan, the first F1 race I watched was Spa 2019, where Leclerc won his first race. It was so nerve wracking, I was rooting for him so hard and I am so glad he won, specially because we're almost the same age. After that, I became a huge fan of the sport, so yeah, if it weren't for Spa in 2019, I wouldn't be the fan I am today and I am so excited for the Race on Sunday

Wow were getting new fans at 2019 when he had a cheat car. Wow F1 is doomed.comments content etc dominated by hating youth. Wild. Remember, all the drivers are special. Don't be angry at the once in 15 year talents like schu Lewis Max because they will always win, even in spec cars.

I'd say my favorite track is Imola. It's one of the few circuits that requires you to take so much kerb to get a fast lap and to do that the way Michael and Alonso did while having each other for company for all those laps in 2005 and 2006 must have been an absolutely phenomenal experience.

Absolutely - its also been on the F1 calendar just about every year since 1950 - and has a lot of history associated with it, both good and bad. Plus, its easy to get to - just take the train and then you don't have any traffic jams.

My favourite track is Singapore. I always love when F1 go there, the atmosphere is great with the race being in the night. The track itself is really cool and challenging, also I love the sound of the engines when the cars do 250+ kph right in the middle of the city. It isn’t always easy to overtake there but the races are always very exciting due to the walls sometimes coming a bit to close, that combined with the heigh temperatures makes the race really demanding for the drivers, something that we all want to see!

My favorite track on the calendar is Paul Ricard, because it has the best overtaking and has produced amazing races over the years since its return, the big run-off areas also make it very exciting because the drivers have a massive margin for error so they are never on the limit, like they would be in Monaco, where they are all scared to do anything

Are these track strategies something all drivers know; mandatory guidelines all drivers are taught before they first step into an F1 car - or is it something they have to figure out and take notes on through driving actual laps of these circuits? Great job as always.

I imagine by the time they reach F1 having most likely driven through f3 and f2 they have worked out most of the tricks, but I'm sure earlier in their career they get quite a lot of coaching

For some places like Albert Park or Circuit Gilles Villeneuve they don't see it in the lower formulae and only ever get to race it in F1. But I think it was Juan Pablo Montoya (who hadn't raced on any European circuits for a couple of years before coming to F1 in 2001) who said he could find out 90% of everything he would ever know about a circuit within his first three laps of driving it. Being a fast learner is a key part of being a fast driver!

Spa for sure. It's the most beautiful, high speed, thrilling, scary and multi faceted track with a range of everything. Long straights, different types of corners, longest lap distance, highest elevation changes. Then there is also the gorgeous backdrop and environment where it's located. I have always loved it and think it's the highest skilled track circuit on the calendar.

My most favorite track is Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Canada. I really like the flow of the track, fast corners after straights where every mistake cost you lot of time and speed. Casino corner where exit is super important and then Wall of the Champions before finish line.
