How to Measure DC Ampere With Multimeter | Battery amp, Charger ampere & Transformer ampere checking

Plug in your black probe in the “COM” port, plug in your red probe in the port labeled “A” or “10A”, and set the multimeter to the closest DC Amp range for the device specifications. Place the probes on the appropriate terminals and check the meter screen for the results.

200 mili amp range, it read 62 amp, which is supposed to be 62 mAh. Instead of that, that guy is showing 620 mAh, which is wrong

Pretty good video, but I have to question your units. For example, “2.82 amperes = 2820 mAh”. If you multiply Amperes x 1000, you get milliAmps (mA), not milliAmp-hours (mAh).

mAH is different from current but they are related .. mAH refers to the capacity of the battery while Ampere(A) or Milliampere (MA) is the current of a battery can provide.

2.82 amperes is 2820 Milliamperes.. not milliampere hour (mAH) ..because mAH is the capacity...

To measure the mAH or capacity of a battery you need to discharge or charge your battery. For example you have a 1A or 1000mA charger, and your battery get full charge for 5 hours. Therefore the capacity of your battery is 5000mAH (1000*5) = 5000 Just make sure that you charge your battery from 2.6V to 4.1 or 4.2V

BRUH! It's not mAh, it's mA. You CANNOT test a battery's capacity or actually anything's capacity with a multimeter. Because the capacity is really variable through usage too, it's not momentary like Voltage or Amperage 2:20 , it's 60 mA, not 600.

No, in series, the voltage increases but in parrel the ampere which is current increases

He is placing the meter in series, but he’s measuring with no load by placing the meter between leads … so it looks like it’s in parallel, but it’s not. The mistake is in his units. He’s converting amps to milliamp-Hours just by dividing by 1000, which is wrong.
