It took you 47 mins to complete that... Me? after 1 month of watching vids like this. My first time took 5 hours to get similar results. First hour, drawing the structure right. Second hour, using colors that looked similar but at the same time limited. Third hour, fixing the structure of the painted face. Fourth hour, coming to terms that the lighter "white" light was actually a shade of blue grey 5th hour trying to get the color right. I gave that try a 5/10 and thought it came out bad and went to sleep. I woke up and looked at it again WITHOUT looking at the reference and said "Damn that look good 6/10) So my problems I have right now is choosing the right colors. I've been watching movies and such and noticing they are purposely choosing certain colors to put inside their media. I see the light, clothes, walls, etc. I've finally gotten off that thought that "white skin is only shades of pink and black skin is only shades of brown" To make my painting look more lively. Now I am going to try and speed up my panting and see if I can't get the same results of 5 hrs into 1 hr. THEN I'll add new technques.

You can save yourself the hour of drawing it by using transfer paper or a projector. No need to waste so much time trying to draw it out!
@RatusMax Жыл бұрын
@@vincentrogers8266 I don't draw at the beginning anymore. I think of everything as an alien object. I paint the large shapes of light and shadow, then move to slightly smaller ones, then even smaller ones. My brain then starts to recognize human, car, tree, etc. That is when I know it's time to add in the details. I use large blocks of shapes to hold the likeness. It's like sculpting. It's far better for me and also helps me paint things from life.

Cuidate amigo.

Can you show us with 3 cameras? : 1. Full camera shot focused on the canvas you are working on. ( 4/6 video screen display ) 2. A second camera / reference photo that is the object of your painting so that we can better understand how you make decisions for certain details. (1/6 video screen display) 3. The third camera, which is important enough to explain to us what actions you are doing off the canvas and off your palette table. For example, you take turpentine, or you're cleaning the oil paint residue off the brush, or whatever. That way we can better understand your process thoroughly. Thank you very much for your kindness.
