technically, the limiter _is_ a compressor, that's why the compression is still being applied, don't trick us, Alex! :D great job, the song is very nice. :)

Great job brotha thanks for the video…. I just found this video and liked it a lot. I subscribed to your channel. Question. Correct me if I’m wrong but, You mentioned that you have the song at 9LUFS. How about if you published that song on Spotify or other digital platforms where they ask for 14LUFS, would it affect the dynamic of the song if you publish it at 9LUFS? Thanks.
@DolbyAtmosMixing
@DolbyAtmosMixing 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Will. Thanks for your feedback. Although 14LUFS seems to be the new standard, it is not applied across all streaming platforms. So if not everybody’s adapting it it is not really a standard. However to answer your question, the streaming platform will either turn it up or down depending on how you submit your master.

i thought reggaeton was all about transients..please can you explain what the clipper is doing and is it that all the drums should have the same transient peak level?
@DolbyAtmosMixing
@DolbyAtmosMixing 3 жыл бұрын
Sure. In pop Latin music the clipping causes the transients to poke out in the mix without distorting. By using a clipper, you can increase the loudness without digital distortion. What type of music do you work on?
