In this video, I discuss, and demonstrate how to model clear coat peeling and chipping affects on a Bowser GMD SD40-2. This is an affect you see on many different roads from CSX, NS, UP, BNSF, etc.

I had a 2000 Dodge Dakota that pealed like this. I know the look well and I'm definitely going to give this a try on my next attempt.

Dan, on the 38 and 38-2s or other non turbocharged units you can see streaks that run down the sides of the hoods, have you modeled that and how?
@trentonlee97006 жыл бұрын
Great video and have you ever done anything with a coil cars those are some of my favorites with two different hoods sometimes. I see alot here in Lima.
@DansRailroad20116 жыл бұрын
Yes I have! It would be cool to model mismatched coil shields.

Focus in on the front of that locomotive. Look inside the left side door where the conductor sits. That looks like a bird inside the locomotive.

excellent work do not you use sealer for the powders?
@beeble20032 жыл бұрын
He's said in other videos that he doesn't clear-coat over powders, but it does mean he has to be more careful handling them.

I am guessing you changed the radiator screens. How did you remove the Bowser factory radiator screens? I Have HLCX #6218 and would like to change the radiator screen for Cannon & Co chicken wire screens.
