He didn't call Elden Ring a bad game, he just pointed out that each Dark Souls game over time became less of a interconnected maze and more linear/open, with Elden Ring having basically nothing of the "Oh Shit, this leads me back to this place. BIIIIG Shortcut" moments. He did call the combat mediocre.....and he's pretty much right with that. Souls games are about the world, the bosses, and the deep lore....the combat is Dodge -> Counter with heals/buffs when needed, and games outside of the FS titles, like Nioh, are where the combat gets more in depth and better, with Sekiro being the only one FS made with an actual combat system. Dark Souls 1, aside from maybe the healing, ultimately is still to this day the most pure and best game that gives you the feeling of a Souls-Like, while Elden Ring is a well made game that has the elements but not the soul IMO, while also not evolving the combat enough to offset the lacking elements of the original feeling. (Dark Souls 1 is 4th place out of the game FS made for me BTW, I enjoy Elden Ring way more and have it as 2nd place, so I'm not letting bias speak here)

I don't agree with Rise Hunting Horn being better. I like the Rise animations a lot but why did they remove the songs? It wasn't even a hard mechanic.

The monster hunter movie IS one of the worst thing ever happened to MH franchise. Pretty sure lots of MH fan will agree with that statement.
