I have to look at the end result. Why do I want to take on this challenge? What do I gain from it? Even if it's as simple as wanting to know a new skill just for leisurely purposes, that alone is enough to motivate me. I don't like to hype up the new challenge as if it's the greatest thing I'll ever see in my life. Instead I like to hype myself up knowing I can achieve this challenge. I find this works more efficiently because I am re-directing that focus to myself, and I am telling myself that I can do it.

Work is monotonous but I have a workout routine beforehand. 5 days a week same deal but I'm fortunate enough to use that time to learn and discover new things with headphones in my ear. I have weekends off so I use that time for my edits, music, and pro wrestling journey. If you have something to strive for, it keeps you motivated. Next goal is a PC.

In what areas specifically are you having trouble? Adapting your perspective to take in interesting information while in a mundane environment or seeking an emotionally fulfilling career? Losing friends and family is really hard. I can relate to a degree. Look out for the smallest of things that bring just a little bit of joy into your life. Then trace those to what the career/job opportunities would be. Then take it one step at a time. I, for instance, was always really interested in how people think, and would generally find myself drawn to deep conversations without my direct intention. Then one day I realized I'm interested in psychology. I went on my computer and took 15 minutes to apply for classes. One step at a time.

Hey RG - big fan of the channel even if I disagree with a few of your observations Could you have a guest on who is prepared to discuss the entertainment media (such as Drake and Jay-Z) who is supported by government intelligence agencies and the justification of using a technology called v2k on citizens ignoring all privacy and human rights laws whilst facilitating their profit and propogandising and weaponising their self-imposed authority? For example - why is a bookmaker allowed to influence the brain of their customers? Isn't that quite dangerous? The question is - to what extent can a commercial company influence the public? Should they be allowed access to someone's physiology and brain wiring?

There's no such thing as motivation. Nothing but fleeting and temporary feel good for the moment bullshit. Want motivation? Cut the shit (excuses) and look at your current skill level in whatever as realistically as possible. When you realize it's all up to you to get and achieve what you want in life and that no one can get it for you or wants to or has to and that if you allow yourself to procrastinate all the time and get no results wondering why you are not moving forward with what you love then you'll find your motivation. George Benson turned his guitar into a cigar and now he is George Benson. Same thing with Jimi Hendrix - he couldn't stop playing and couldn't put the guitar away. He didn't need no motivation although he had motives for such an addictive behaviour. Set up a daily routine and do it regardless of how you feel. Then you'll know who the problem is.
@bluemartin
@bluemartin 2 ай бұрын
Forcing will get you psychological Ill at some point, motivation is very real and can be long term and can be the thing creating new healthy routines that you stick to. Not the other way around, no one can create something for themselves that they haven't seen, felt or imagined through adventure and inspiration, which are the precursors to excitement and motivation. I wish you a healthy life.
@theoneandonly3499
@theoneandonly3499 2 ай бұрын
@bluemartin Then I have found motivation LOL Thank you sir I hope you have a great, happy and secure life and crush your goals whatever they may be :D All we are as Aristoteles said more than 2000 years ago is nothing but habit and what is habit but nothing short of repetition. Knowing this, we either engage in behaviour that further us away from our goals or completely stalls us or we move forward and towards our goals. My goal is not to become the greatest bass player ever in the entire universe because I'm not arrogant but I do want to strive to be the best possible version of myself that I can possibly be at bass guitar. Also I don't like competition/comparison although I do understand it to be healthy to a certain degree of measurement. Confidence is when you are getting better at whatever you set out to be and arrogance is when you are better than. Sorry I'm straying off topic but it all ties into motivation. SELF-confidence has everything to do with you and arrogance has everything to do with others because in your mind you are already "number one" and all that is left is nothing but resentment and jealousy towards others who you deem as rivals or close by competitors or higher rank than you. What I'm getting at is this quote: Find what you love to do (not necessarily what you were "meant" to do) and let it kill you. Then you can throw motivation out the window :D Just like George Benson or Jimi Hendrix smoked that guitar like a crack pipe daily they couldn't stop playing/practicing :D I want that too with the bass guitar :D
@bluemartin
@bluemartin 2 ай бұрын
I don't see a difference in what you describe to what I see as motivation, motivation does not have to be an initial endeavor, excitement might be. But then a lot of other feelings take over to embrace and continue the motivation into being surrounded with routines. When the feelings are hopelessness and routines without goal, adventure is the change.
