Knowing how to nature journal in a short amount of time is useful in a lot of situations whether you are just getting started with nature journaling or you are more advanced.

Yay! It is short but sweet. Nature journaling can be short and sweet too. It's important to set the bar real low for ourselves sometimes and then we realize how easy it is to squeeze in a little nature journaling session

@@MarleyPeifer Agreed! Everything becomes interesting when you just zoom in. This morning, I was painting while snacking on some mixed nuts and suddenly geeked-out on an almond. Just focusing on even one detail, like matching colors to the subject, really helps me appreciate things on a deeper level.

Ok now I do not have any excuses anymore...you did it in five... you did it with a ballpoint... eveyrthing that has blocked me from starting. TOTAL BEGINNER first attempt today in Belgium (Europe) Lets go!

I like the shot where you were writing in the metadata and we could see your hand reflected in your glasses. I don't know if you did that on purpose but it was very cool!

I love the focus on nature and not on pretty art. Love using words too.

Yes! Thank you! I like setting the bar low and reminding myself that it is possible to nature journal real "quick and dirty" and it still feels very fulfilling and I learn a lot. It can also lead to longer sessions and more elaborate pages as a byproduct.

Thanks so much! 😊 OMG, there is always something else that one finds once we slow down and start nature journaling! That is why I like the idea of setting the bar really low just to increase the likelihood we will initiate a session.

@@MarleyPeifer Yes, and I needed to hear it yesterday, I filled a page but had to tell myself to do it just for 5 min, even if that's only looking through the window, but it worked. 😊
