Thanks a lot! Henry stopped working, I opened the machine, opened the switch(you can get the top out of it), cleaned the contacts and it worked like new!

Will the motor from the Henry which has the 620w and 1 switch for the high and low fit the current henrys?

If they use the same motor and motor mounts then yes they will fit

Are the newer henry the same shade of colour as the old one?

Henry’s from the 1980’s and 1990s are darker red

Is it possible to modify this machine by replacing the light switch with a high low switch?

I doubt it as it'll need a PCB as well

It makes the motor dusty which can eventually harm it and burn out

@@RJA_World Good to hear mate, unfortunately I don't know anyone who's after one but a lot of collectors usually check online for their vacuum hunts anyway so there's a good chance it can end up in a good home especially as the market is mainly cordless vacuums now, there's less demand for older Dysons
