How to Open and Clean Asus ROG G531G Fan Disassemble + Thermal + How to Upgrade Ram + SSD + Battery
This video is a step by step mega tutorial showing how to disassemble and clean the fan on a Asus ROG Strix Laptop (model g531G) but it will work on a lot of other models as well. We also change the thermal paste on this asus ROG laptop as well as upgrade the ram. We go over SSD options such as adding a cable or upgrading your ssd with a higher storage. Lastly we show how to change the battery on this machine. Anytime you work on a laptop do so at your own risk or ask a friend/family member to help if you are uncomfortable.

i was searching for videos of disassembling asus laptops cause i will disassemble my Asus G731GW, this is the best video i've found yet. i was thinking about cleaning the paste also from the vram's and applying Noctua NT-H2 there but after seeing your video i'm not sure if i will change the paste to the vrams just in case. i've seen a comment in YT from someone who spoke with asus and said that this paste for the vrams that asus uses, is not available to consumers.

if you put off the heatpipes, u have to repaste anything else (beside cpu+gpu) with thermalpads too, basics ;)

short screw on the bottom part only dont put long screw near touchpads

Once you open the cooler , you have to replase TERMAL PADS !!!!! On the chips !!!

That harddrive connector comes along in a ziplock with the laptop btw So try finding it in the box first before you buy one

Hola.buen día disculpa quite el m.2 que venía de fábrica (Intel) y puse un crucial p3 plus de 2tb y no funcionó se queda en la pantalla de rog. Cambie a uno m.2 crucial p3 plus de 4tb y tampoco. Cambie a m.2 1tb de western digital Black y tampoco :(. Ni siquiera me deja entrar a BIOS. Cuál será el problema??? Ayuda porfavor (perdón no sé inglés) 😢😢😢😢

You could always try cleaning the key switches, last resort replace the keyboard.

Im not sure why ASUS made this particular model impossible to upgrade the NVME. You are stuck with that shitty 512 GB NVME forever.

@@user-yq5pv1wo9o no i did not open myself when i pressing power button laptop not turning on, i need to press power button for 2 mins or more, so i tell this problem to asus customer care, they said to me visit service centre, when i visit there technician run diagnosis test, find that cpu is burn 🙂

Clean the fans with vacum cleaner and toothbrush with alchol untill all the dirt come out also you need to put the paste on whole chip not like you did its very bad...if you want to teach something do it like you should or not do any stupid videos
