Why do my Outback headlights seem to only light a short range of view? Driving last night on dark roads we could only see a couple hundred feet ahead.

Good video…question…if the lights are on in the top position and under my complete control….If I don’t turn that off and the key is in the ignition, but power off…..it will leave lights on and drain the battery quickly….is that some kind of safety feature that escapes my reasoning…they go off when key is out of ignition, but they will go back on when the key is put back in the ignition even though nothing else has been turned on….I have been stranded more than once. It happens when waiting for someone in the parking lot usually. I will be going to AUTO after this video BTW…thank you

thank for watching and commenting. You are correct about the lights and "real keys". I don't know why Subarus do that. It has been a feature as long as I can remember. As keys are being offered less and less on cars. This feature will almost disappear

if you leave the lights on "auto", will they turn off when you park and get out of the car?

The will. The factory setting is to stay on for 30 seconds then they will turn off.

Evan, I have mounted my Tullie carrier to the Subbie crossbars. I was told I should purchase another set of cross bars and attach those to the subbie bars. So far what I have done has worked great. I do not see why i should get another set of cross bars. Your thoughts??

Never heard of that before. If you already have the Subaru crossbars I don't see any reason to buy another set to attach to those. In my opinion that would create a bigger problem

On your tires, it shows what PSI is required for it… it’ll say something like “85 PSI” if you look carefully. All tires are different psi

Depends on the Model. They rolled it out it waves as they upgraded each model

I just want to confirm….in the Auto mode, when driving on a highway at night and there are no cars coming toward me, the high beams with automatically come on?

You need to first turn your high beams on then they will Automatically Dim when it sees any light and Automatically come back on when it no longer sees light. I hope this helps :-)
