Good video , for information Volotea (I don't know for Qantas, Delta and Hawaiin) keep the flaps 13 during taxi after landing and retract the flaps during last turn (in case of a emergency you can use the flaps to down the aircraft), he set air data off when engine is off, pack L off and pack R auto when the engine is off. The reverse are activated only when the front wheel touch the ground because on the MD80 the pilot set the reverse and when the airplane boucing the reverse are actived(MD80 Reverses Thrust in the air! by justplane)

Are both the basic model with a MTOW of 110,000 lbs and the High Gross Weight Model with a MTOW of 121,000 lbs simulated in this package?

The b717 is more MD11 in the systems and cockpit design than boeing

Yeah it was designed by MD then they went and merged with Boeing. Kind of weird situation.

Quick question. I’m flying this tomorrow night to skiathos, and for some reason, I can’t set or find the auto brake... any idea where it is?

SimBoy it doesn’t have them. I guess that system was not very common on the 717. Some airlines have them but most do not is my understanding

At 24:07 you say "So now I'm going to show you an approach into LAX 24R. Now to do the descent, all you have to do is lower the number on the MCP, and once the aircraft passes the descent marker, it will start the descent for you." What number are you referring to, and how do you lower it? I didn't notice you clicking/lowering/changing anything.

I was talking about the altitude on the MCP. As long as it’s lower than the cruise altitude it will start to descend on the profile after passing the descent marker.

How come when I start Eng. 2 first (like how you're supposed to in most aircraft), Engine 1 refuses to start afterwords?

I’m not sure. I’ve experienced that too but I’ve also seen people do it successfully. I’m reaching out to someone who files the 717 so I can ask them. All the checklists I’ve seen call for the left engine first. Delta even single engine taxis with the left engine.

Slimaa Gaming no as I explained stabilizer motion is just letting you know that the plane is trimming. No sound? But you hear the warning?

@@TheFlightSimDeck no there is no sound from The 717 it's not the SIM cause I can hear AI planes and I have all the sound coming out of the speaker I use but there is no sound

The Flight Sim Deck I managed to figure out the problem! But this helped as well, since the warnings popped back up. Since my throttle is broke, it does random things sometimes (I.e. full throttle after joystick movement) and that sounded the alarm. However, I owe you my gratitude. Thank you, and keep up the amazing Flight Simulator videos!

Most importantly you will need up to date navigation data to have the proper holds mapped out. Check out Navigraph if you haven't.

4:10, but I'm confused, it is a boeing!? I mean sure, the design was meant to be made to challenge the md80 right? So unless it was one off those silly mistakes I am confused

Maxkillers It was originally designed and sold by McDonnell Douglas, but Boeing merged with them so it became a Boeing. That’s why it doesn’t fit the Boeing style.

The Flight Sim Deck Yeah,the aircraft was originally named McDonnell Douglas MD95 or something like that,after the merge between Boeing & McDonnell Douglas it become Boeing 717

When boeing bought them, McDonnell was working on the 'next' MD called the 95 but thought since Boeing just got them they would simply scrap the program. Instead Boeing moved ahead with the program but put the name of the plane in the 7 series as the 717

Great explanation, but you’re missing some stuff in operating the plane itself, likr stabilising the thrust before pushing autoflight when you’re starting to roll on the runway (no hate just feedback btw 💪🏻 love your vids)

Yes in the add on manger / system / general, there are two options. One for imperial and the metric system.

It's one of the ways you can connect the GPU. It's a made up button not on the actual aircraft, called the, "Ground Services ELEX PWR" button. To answer your second question at 3:09 I'm saying lets come over here to do the fuel. Here being the add-on manager.

josh thumperluck there are two buttons on the throttle so you’re hitting the one on the handle right? What happens if you move the throttle, does it come off then?

Captain Patroni I remember this issue but I never had it happen to me when changing views. Then again I never updated past P3D v4.3. I think during this tutorial I was running 4.2.
