hey i have queries, i have try to simulate Wayside Energy Storage System for railway system application. the idea is to applied and store the regenerating braking energy. i use etrax to simulate the dynamic load flow of rolling stock but nothing happen with the ESS i connect to the system. is this simulation is not available with etrax?

What are the standard charge/discharge times of a grid-scale BESS? How long does it take to discharged completely and to be recharged?

I think that is a complicated question. there are many factors to be considered, like the pv power, the load power, the system working modes, if or not to active grid charging function to charge the battery. mostly need to know the purpose of the system, and to configure the system to meet the purpose.

Dear All, May I have a question that is blocking my learning myself? My question is related with "Protection Device Coordination". I prepared a simple single line diagram including bus1,bus2 and bus3 from upstream to downstream. At each bus level we have MCCB's with 630A,250A and 50A as continuous currents respectively from upstream to downstream. In this configuration, once we have short circuit blow the bus3,the 50A breaker supposed to trip at first, then 250A breaker and then 630A breakers. What's happening, just reverse.. The 630A breaker trips first then 250A and then 50A.as per TCC curves, obviously the 50A breaker will trip first but what is wrong I could not get it. If any body helps me ,I will be many thankful..

Mine Battery Editor doesn't have BMS Tab and the battery can only act as a load not a source
