The part he is talking about the pleasure of being miserable is so real, we all have seen those kind of people and even may have been with. The people who love being rejected and disrespected and if you take their misery from them, they are simply no one and have nothing to offer.

@Surviving the matrix I'm not sure whether depression is the right term to describe these kind of people or condition (as you pointed out), but whatever it is the thing is when you show empathy toward them and try to gain their trust into yourself, they suddenly reject you without any reason and leave you. In this situation there is no way to help them unless they find the way themselves.

I have passed so many things in my life however I've gotton too comfterable in my own success today I had the harshest reality check failing my driving test in a couple of minutes at the age of 21, though I was miserable for a while it was the wake up call I needed to apply for my dream job work harder than I already do because its not progress if your not comfterable, pass with the best grades I have ever gotten and will secure my dream job by journaling, exercising, reading, cleaning my room and other bad habits that I have picked up as result of comfort. Will keep you guys updated in two months

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 01:21 🧠 When faced with failure or mistakes, avoid self-destructive thoughts and behaviors. 03:11 📚 Analyze the specific areas that need improvement rather than assuming complete failure. 05:04 👂 When in conflict, aim for the minimum necessary intervention to avoid unnecessary enemies. 06:16 🤝 Acknowledge and praise the positive behaviors of others to encourage growth and development. 08:09 💔 Avoid jealousy and competition with loved ones; support their growth instead of holding them back. I failed my ex. I failed myself. I failed my parents who taught me to be better than that. I failed my friends who never thought I did what I did. Its funny that I can accept what I've done wrong but I can't accept that I have massively failed as a person.

Moral of the story: provide yourself with a solution for the future and move forward. Nit-picking your failure will serve nothing in fact it’s counter productive and no one gains anything from it.

Couple things here: Failure and mistakes are not just important but damn right essential for any growth to take place, how else do you grow, adapt and pivot through life? Heres the stinger through, no matter what walks of life you come from, you will encounter that most if not all people are stuck in a loop of their own minds, because they have push back from their mistake and failures and not really dissect the whole situation to where and what needs to change in order for it not to happen again, instead they just do the same method expecting different results only leading to the beginning of the loop. They get caught up with not wanting to feel the uncomfortableness that comes with it that they then seeking that dopamine again because they want or hide themselves a remedy for what has happened to them!! You can see easily here why these loops take place. Mistakes and failures should be teaching you to not do it again and grow and adapt into something new.

I know I have learned from my mistake. I made a worker feel bad about his. I’m a high-ranking chef at a university and I was told by an employee that her coworker (let's call him Will) had been touching crew members too much. Not _that_ type of touch, just casual ones, like on arms or shoulders. He was always very outgoing and tactile at work. I took him to my colleague’s office and told him he shouldn't touch anyone without consent. Just handshakes. I said we needed the workers to be comfortable in a good work environment, that he pretty much shouldn't talk about anything other than work and school. How he shouldn't tell his stories because they may be inappropriate to some degree to the other workers; funny to him only. I think he’s about 25. He seemed pretty quiet and uncomfortable during my speech. Answered a question or two with a nod and headshake. *(Warning: Graphic Content)* That night, Will got shot by a woman, who said "Your time is up. This is for your unfiltered joke yesterday. HeII, this is for _everyone_ who knows you. Nobody WANTS you. You deserve to DlE!" And then she stuck a knife into his stomach. *Luckily* the police arrived to arrest her and save Will. He was treated at the hospital _just_ in time. But...what if he wasn't? What if our *_last_* moment was in the office? Yes, I needed to address his behavioral "issue," but I should've been more respectful. More filter, less touching at work? Yeah, but compromise would've been fine. Like, only touching friendly coworkers he gets along great with. It's perfectly natural to causally touch or tap people *without* it being creepy. Will never meant to be that word. He just needed some limits, not all or nothing. I should’ve shown more patience and only given him a very brief and gentle talk in the hall, not a *firm lecture in the office* with his *boss present.* And I shouldn’t have asked her if there anything she wanted to add. So insensitive. Will never meant any discomfort or harm. He only meant to have fun with his coworkers. I made him feel bad, and the assaiIant made it much worse. I have to apologize to him whenever I can, for mishandling the situation. His assauIt is the only thing that made realize what was right.

To any young men in this chat, 20's- 30's, please learn what you need to now, cause you for sure don't want to be in my shoes, 48 years old stuffing boots for $16 bucks an hour, constantly reminding myself of the hundreds of major failures i have made and keep making over the past 35 years. Regret is heavier than iron. Starting over at 48 sucks! Trust me! Dont wait, change now!

As long as you are alive, there is time to change my friend. Don’t live life in regret. Abandon hope for a better past and don’t pray for one, and instead, pray for a better future. The past is set in stone, the present is a lump of clay, and the future is your imagination for what beautiful designs that clay could be. One day, there will be no more tomorrows, and no more pieces of clay to be moulded. As long as you are alive there is hope. Let go of the shadows of yesterdays evening, and look for the sun rising in the distant horizon.

Here’s what I’m going to try after a failure of epic proportions… Watch more Jordan Peterson videos. Narrow my focus to how to take better care of my physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Allow myself to daydream and imagine my life as I would like it to be… Do i want to help people? Influence local politics? Create or build things? Influence people or politicians? Have children? Parent better? Just imagine without limits. What lights me up or inspires me? If I could use my best strengths daily, how would that feel? Then narrow my thinking to questions like … What’s ONE thing I could do today to explore these new options and ideas? Find ONE person who would be a positive supporter of my new trajectory. Forgive myself . I had good intentions… things didn’t work out. I’ll do better next time. Balance between imagining what will make me happy and give me satisfaction with where I am now and what i can DO today. Now I’m going to sign off and work on these things myself…❤
