MY STORY:
In 2016 I had been in law enforcement for 7 years.

Those implements are making some very nice little pillows for that seed. When speaking of over complicating things you get the ones that are like you need to put peat over it and do not forget the starter fert and stuff. Then I have one client and whenever he gets a bare area he does nothing but throw the seed down and it grows. I mean he does not even rake it a bit or anything. Its like it he touches the seed it grows anywhere. I need to hire him haha.

I used to seed Bahia for clients. I refused to lay Bahia sod after around 2007/8. We were tired of trying to put together the jigsaw puzzle that pallet always turned into. Only the top two or three layers were ever well cut from the farm. One thing you left out and maybe that's because it isn't used that far north, St Augustine cannot be seeded. (Ok, you can try but your germination rate will be really low).

I live one hour south of Orlando and I have had Bahia sod installed twice and both times it eventually all died!!! Why??????? And I mean it completely died, and eventually turned to sand and a few weeds lol

In southeast virginia fescue seeding is big money in the fall. But we also have all the warm season turf types. I’ve never overseeded warm season turf. Weed control and fertilization is all it takes to get warm season grass to thicken up.

I overseeded my front yard last year with centipede seed purchased from Woerner Turf. I watered 4x a day for 5 minutes each time to keep it wet and applied fungicide as needed. While I got great germination, the weed pressure was so much that by the end of summer, due to not being able to apply any weed control, it choked out quite a bit of what germinated. I can say I'm hopeful that what made it through all that will fill in nicely this year. I'm all about the process but I'm not sold on seeding centipede, especially with it being so sensitive to most weed killers.

What do you guys pay per ft2 for sod down in Florida?

I was under the impression that soil in Florida is really sandy. That area you worked up and seeded looks like black loamy Iowa top soil. Is your soil not sandy, or did you bring in top soil?

Further north get more of a silty sand and clay soil. Central to western coastal areas is your sandy soils.
