Knowing how to paint a dog's nose is key to any dog portrait. This video shares how I paint a nose realistically.
Alongside the eyes and mouth, the nose is obviously one of the key features within a dog portrait. It is a complex area to paint, not only because of its shape, but also the texture of the surface too. These watercolor techniques can be used for any animal painting where the nose is formed similarly, so mastering the skills can really help with many of your wildlife paintings too.
