You are such a good teacher. I love the way you talk us through your thought processes as you simplify a photo. The way you can make changes. So beautiful to have you as a teacher. Loved adding KENNYS TREE AT THE END.

when we see you do it, we have the "impression" that it's easy, but when we try to imitate you, we realise that it's much, much harder than we expected .... once again, thank you for this masterly demonstration, your rendering of the foliage is splendid.

Fantastic painting. It's educational and inspiring watching you paint. But also humbling. Thanks and thumbs up. [Edit: It's also great how you critique your painting(s) at the end of the video(s) and suggest improvements/alternatives.]

Thank you so very much for this opportunity to capture the woods in sunlight. I’ve moved into a home where I am surrounded by trees and every attempt I’ve made to capture the light has failed. This gives me the confidence to try it again. What a superb artist you are and so generous to offer this on You Tube. I cannot thank you enough.

Several good techniques here, and fun to watch. I was thinking that you might try doing blooms, often conisdered a mistake when water hits not quite dry paint, for making the sunny ovals on the pavement.

Tim, this was a wonderful video that covered a multitude of subjects. Now after seeing it I will do it myself. The only change I will make it that I will make the top of the railings, especially on the right side, a bit more dappled. It just seemed a bit harsh to me. Also I wanted you opinion on toning down the white paper in the areas where the sun is breaking through the trees. Robt. Really nice and so many good lessons!

Hello, it's amazing, as any other of your artworks! I really like the brightness and the vibrancy of you paintings and the use of the light and shadows. I think people can learn a lot from your videos. ...By the way...speaking of learning something new 😁 ....what kind of brush do you use for thin but rapid lines like the ones you painted with gouache to create the leaves on the ground at 1:32:50 ? Is it only a matter of keep your brushes ultra clean every time in order to keep a sharp edge? I have some round type brushes but they struggle to keep paint and also to keep a sharp tip. What are the main features of a good brush for that kind of work in your opinion? Many thanks.

Hello I'm new to your channel. I just love your work. I looked at the brushes you recommend and gosh I just can't afford them. Do you have any other suggestions for something affordable? Also I'm looking for an outdoor small sack or bag to use for plein Aire travel. What do you suggest? You have maybe made other videos on these subjects. Send me to them. Please. Thank you so much for your time. By the way, I live quite close to the painting you are doing today. Northern California is amazing and you're painting really shows it!! ❤. Thank you so much for your videos!!!

Thanks for your kind comments. Brushes - go with a synthetic brush - Princeton do loads that are imitation squirrel etc. If you have a limited budget, go with one versatile brush rather than multiple. Bag- I fit everything into a small backpack so I can walk further.

Sorry not a fan of sponge method of doing path shadows, it seems unnatural looking. I would rather paint the shadows in with a brush.
