HOW TO PAINT A HUMMINGBIRD IN WATERCOLOUR - This easy to follow loose watercolour style tutorial, will give you faster results to boost your confidence. I will show you how to paint in easy to follow steps in real time and time lapse (to skip the boring parts). Working both wet in wet and wet in dry. Painting birds in watercolour is just a joy and this vibrant watercolour hummingbird is no exception. This tutorial is easy to follow and shouldn't take long to paint, so you will have a painting that you can be proud of.

Materials used;
Paper: Arches - Cold Pressed 300 gsm
Paints: Peacock green and peacock blue - Shinhan
Burnt Sienna, Paynes Grey, Quinacridone Magenta, Winsor Green yellow shade - all Winsor & Newton
Pen: Pilot fineliner .01
Brushes: No4 and N0 2 Spotters from Rosemary & Co

I am unable to find the Peacock Green and Blue you use in the Daniel Smith listings at Blick or Jerry's?

Hi. I’ve just had a look and I realised that they are made by Shinhan. I apologise for the error and I will alter the listings. I bought mine at Jacksons art and reference codes are WPR 15584, and WPR 15609. However, don’t worry if you don’t have these colours if you’re using Winsor and Newton, Winsor Green blue shade or winsor green yellow shade will do or any turquoise sea blue colour that you have within your kit. Hope this helps and once again I apologise for the error but as long as it’s a close colour it really isn’t a problem
