Within this new airbrush painting tutorial, I'll show you all the tricks and techniques I use to paint realistic and believable skin textures. We'll be painting a portrait of an old woman using acrylic paints and an airbrush, all on a gessoed canvas. I'll start with the eye and paint in all the wrinkles and creases around it using ripped paper, DIY skin texture templates, and airbrush shields. Next week we'll continue onto the second part.
