Hi everyone welcome to another video
This is the second video in a new series where I will be trying new painting techniques or types of minis for the first and then second time time. I only started painting RPG minis recently and wanted to put out some videos to show my first and then next attempts as a beginner painter. They will be tutorial style videos that are a bit slower and in more detail than some of the other videos out there to hopefully allow other new painters an easy introduction to some new techniques you can use for your minis.
For my first attempts I will be selecting a fairly simple mini so that it is easy to follow along. The plan for the series will be that there will be a part two where I will use a slightly more complicated mini and show my second attempt so that you can see how much progress there can be in just one miniature and will also allow you to follow the same content creator for a second tutorial for a slightly more complicated mini on the same topic.
This is the second video so I have selected a slightly more complicated mini that has more colors and parts to it than the first troll mini that I painted. I will link the first video below so that you can view it if you wish.

Glad you enjoyed it! I always wonder if I should do a short for the videos or just work on the full video but then I feel bad for not having any videos out for a long time.

@@Princess_Quorra I like seeing what’s coming up for the painting videos so I like the shorts but if it’s a lot of extra effort to make them I understand not doing them.

Great video, I has having troubler with speed paint because they dont paint over black and grey well and I think was going to light on the white.

Thank you. Hopefully you found this helpful. I do find you have to Drybrush enough areas light in order for the speedpaint to work well while leaving just enough areas dark for some natural contrast. Since the speedpaints are transparent they do have trouble painting over black and darker grey

I like the contrast with the skin tone using the slap chop. Makes him look hairy. LOL

Great question. It comes from the Slap Chop infomercial kitchen utensil used to quickly prepare food, the name in mini painting was originally coined by the honest wargamer because it is supposed to be a quick and easy method to paint minis!
