I must say that as a licensed painter in Canada trained by Germans your video is right on. I have watched other videos and they’re a joke but you were doing fantastic. Good on you.

Excellent stuff brother! This was hugely helpful to me. I have been painting for my father doing the simple work with the lowest quality paint and tools for many years. Last January I started painting on my own and I've had tons of business. Thanks for educating me on the qualities of specially formulated trim-paint and brushes, I definitely think they're worth the cost! You do good work, much love from Missouri

In China we all use marble floors and dark color base line with polishing paint,so no need extra maintenance besides mopping the floor over years. But in Canada, there are so much too do……

Is "bring it on over" a technical term in the paintng world?

Do you have to thin it when you’re using a brush? I’ve been painting cabinets with a sprayer and I thin it and it’s been working great but I have a couple extra pieces I need to just use a brush.

As a professional I was struggle with painting baseboards on hardwood floors. Tape always bleeds. Do you always just hand cut them over hardwoods? And what if you are dealing with a color change?
@streamscreen Жыл бұрын
Try the green frog tape bleeds through a lot less.Use a two inch brush try Wooster silver tip excellent brush

I tape my floors but I paint as if there isn't tape there (only without worrying about the "oops" when brush does touch tape here and there). this is how I train my newbies as well. "Paint like the tape isn't there." You will be more conscience of the amount of paint you apply at the bottom of the baseboard, avoiding pooling, and the time this takes to both tape and "cut in" will be saved in clean up time at the end.

@@streamscreen And then the frog tape is for consumers, the brand name Kip sells the real stuff each roll has a special number. Not sure if they sell in the US.

Dry time between coats?

One full coat of Emerald trim paint would be enough.

What sheen is the paint? Semi-gloss?
@prolificjubilation11 ай бұрын
Enamel which is oil based. Heavier gloss than semi gloss
@drblaze38504 ай бұрын
@@prolificjubilation Actually, "Enamel" doesn't really mean much. The paint companies just use the word to denote that a particular paint dries harder than most of their other paints. Also, "Enamel" can be either water or oil based (SW has both). Also, Enamel has nothing to do with sheen. This product comes in satin, semi and full gloss (I believe this is the semi)
