In this video I guide you through how I perfected painting marble or wraithbone.
Steps -
1 - Battle damage your mini
2 - Wash and dry the wipes
3 - Base colours - and leave to dry
4 - Stretch out the wipe and place over model
5 - Spray in thin coats!
6 - Remove the wipe before allowing the paint to dry
7 - Let it dry and then apply a wash
8 - Sorted!
Check out my other videos! Where i built, kitbashed and modified my 8 Wraithknights for my dream army.
In my last video i kitbashed Wraithlords, Wraithseers and Wraithguard for my childhood dream army of an Iyanden Eldar/Aeldari Spirit host army!
My completed army will consist of -
40 Wraithguard
6 Wraithlord
2 Wraithseer
8 Wraithknights
a selection of Farseer and Spiritseers
Make sure you subscribe to see the second part.

This channel is about painting converting and kitbashing miniatures for your warhammer & d&d games, Age of sigmar, warhammer 40k games and Necromunda in a Grimdark Grim Dark Style most of the time. I will paint more Space Marines, maybe even Space Wolves, Sisters of Battle, Stormcast Eternals, Eldar Aeldari, Age of Sigmar armies too cities of sigmar, more chaos space marines, painting scale models or miniature busts in the future. I've done how to paint guides you could use them for how to paint d&D I may do a conversion guide for Darktide or Dark tide however it is spelled. And in the future I will build and paint some terrain for my miniature war gaming wargaming hobby.

@@SlayerMiniatures yeah, ever since I saw your nighthaunt videos i am locked in! You've given a ton of inspiration! And it's always cool to see what you make. I have a little bit of nighthaunt, but mainly 40k orks and Underworlds warbands. Been planning to do some thousand sons and white scars too. So I guess this is more of a testament of your entertainment and inspiration value, since I haven't seen orks or warbands as of yet (not critique, just a compliment) Have a good one!

For anyone watching this in the future the reason it didn't work exactly as intended is because the technique was made for regular acrylics, shot through an airbrush, but colourforge rattlecans are primers. Primers are way more sticky and durable than acrylics so the wipe won't just come off. You can think of primers as almost like paint+glue mixture.
@SlayerMiniatures
@SlayerMiniatures 4 ай бұрын
Good point. I also think its because of the wipes i used as it also did this (not as much) with normal acrylic. I will use something like wire wool next time

This looks absolutely amazing - I've been torn on how to paint my eldar since I got them but this is perfect! I think I'll do a black base, followed by two progressive lighter shades of purple, and then some white/grey. Only problem is I'll be doing this on normal sized eldar - do you think the technique will still be effective on smaller minis? I'm thinking maybe if I don't pull the baby wipe as much, the holes will be small enough for the effect to still work on the smaller surface area.
@SlayerMiniatures
@SlayerMiniatures 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Cameron thanks for comment 😊 I think it looks better on larger areas but its well worth testing it on smaller models! Have a dark base and lighter colours on top should work well. I tested about 5 different times until I got what I wanted

Was wondering what this was. But i remembered; your the person who converted his scattershield with extra plates and took a webway gate head for the Wraithknights head. I liked it all up until you used the brown wash. I guess since the titel says Ancient you were going for a more older/dirty look. But i liked it's bright looks aswell ( so only the runes should've needed a little wash in my example ). A/e great idea's and good stuff. nice video.
