So, I've had these Night Lords Contekar Terminators sitting around for way too long, and it's finally time to give them the paint job they deserve. In this video, I'll walk you through my process step-by-step. I'm keeping things pretty straightforward, using just my trusty brushes-no fancy airbrushing. It's amazing how much you can achieve with simple techniques, especially with these Horus Heresy era Space Marines.

Warhounds/World Eaters, planning to have both traitor and loyalist WE army in HH. Also played WE army since 3rd ed in 40k.

I love the idea behind the Alpha legion. The only problem I have with them, is that all the books about them are pretty bland and boring :(

I can never decide if I like Night Lords or World Eaters more. WE have Kharn, though, so I guess it makes me lean towards them a bit :D

This is what I adore about warhammer. This ABSOLUTELY takes skill and patience in its techniques and application but someone could totally follow this video and get smth close to the point they’re happy with. It also probably has a lot to do with the quality of these beautiful videos

Awesome, it's fun how when it comes down to it, the basics of painting miniatures is just base colors, shade, and then highlights

These are stunning! What would you recommend for red capes on the other night lords?

I suppose it depends on the style you want to go for. If you want to go for a strong contrasty red, then you could go for The Red from Kimera Kolors, or blood angels contrast over a white zenithal highlight. If you want something more subdued, maybe deep red from Scale 75 or khorne red from Citadel. And if you want to be fancy, you could paint the whole thing the same blue, or a bit darker, as the armor and then highlight up the folds with red, leaving the blue in the shadows :D

Has anyone tried this recipe with the lightening effect? I Love how the armor highlights came out but Im worried they might be too bright to be on there w the lightening

What colors did you use after bugmans glow for the flesh?

If I remember correctly I went for the most basic combo: bugmans glow -> cadian flesh -> catachan flesh

I liked everything except the blue. I think you went too bright on the highlights and maybe could have used a drakenhof or guilleman blue wash over it to tone down the Tron aspect. I definitely liked how you did the flayed skin effects and will probably try something similar in the future

Yeah, that's fair. To be honest, these things are a matter of taste. When I look at them, I feel that I could have pushed the highlights a bit more so they stand out more on the table/display case :D Glad to hear you liked the flayed skin!

Nope, they are not. These are some custome resin bases that I found in a hobby store last time I visited the US. I thought they would fit the models quite well.
