How to Paint: Ork Kill Rig for Beast Snagga Boyz

Hi guys! Andy back again, this time it's a 40k painting tutorial!
My jaw dropped when I saw the Kill Rig revealed earlier this year for the Beast Snaggas range, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it! The whole piece might look complicated to paint, but as you can see from this tutorial, once you break down the model, it's very easy to tackle. There are two build options with this model, a Kill Rig, or a Hunta Rig. I went with the Hunta Rig but both models are very similar so the tutorial works no matter what you choose!
The adorable tramplasquig, giant squig, rhino squig...whatever you want to call him was very enjoyable to paint, and you can follow my other tutorials linked below to paint both him and the Ork Wurrboys that ride along on the rig.

Have you tried doing a base of brown before the silver, helps give that rusted old metal look instead of leaving black showing through. Also a bronze before the lead belcher in places gives that appearance of scruffy metal

Loving these videos. You really nail the style I aim for in my painting (I too am a huge fan of seraphim sepia). By any chance do you have a showcase video of an Instagram account showing off your Ork collection? Cheers Ps- how do you paint your Ork bases?

How did you do what you did with the leadbelcher towards the end without covering up the base colours? It looks cool

I used the drybrush technique so there was very little paint on the brush so it only transferred paint to the sharpest points. If that’s what you were asking?

Awesome video! Some unwanted feedback here perhaps but that smacking sound you make in pauses between sentences is very grating. Other than that, great paint scheme and very useful tutorial 😍
