I was actually amused by the joke in the intro. Great technique! I think what makes your videos unique is your attention to detail and perseverance which I admire in you and lack myself. Certainly inspirational work! I'm glad the algorithmic randomizer brought your channel to my attention, and wish you further success!

I used this on the fatigues of my Guard. It kinda works but I need more practice with this technique. Would you recommend washing and highlighting as well?

Really good question! I typically do not do any highlights or shading with camouflage. One of the purposes of camo is to obscure your shape. If you look at animals sometimes this is even done as reverse shades and highlights like a dark line on the back and lighter underbelly. So I feel when you add highlights or shading you end up fighting against the camo’s intent. Now you also want your model to look cool and all camo can make for a bland miniature so I try to make up for that with some solid colors that aren’t too close to the camo colors like here I used black. So I guess this is the longest way to say no I would not recommend shading the camo lol

@@OchoMiniatures I get what you're saying. I guess its a slight bother to me as there is no shade in the recesses of the clothes. and I'm doing this it this way because I'm terrible at freehanding any camo designs where I could do shade and highlight. Btw this is on Imperial Guard infantry so it is a long and grueling process for just one or two lmao
