In this video we take a look at how to paint the new Hive Fleet Typhon scheme announced at the launch of Warhammer 40k tenth edition. I've simplified this scheme to make it easier to reproduce at scale while staying true to the box art. This video is broken down into two stages, getting your model ready for the tabletop followed by elevating it to table top plus.
If you have any questions leave a comment below and I will be happy to help.

Amazing paintjob, as the other new schemes shows in the previous vídeos. I would love to see your interpretation of the tyranid scheme shown in the leviathan box, the one on the head of the tyranid along the head of the terminator. The carapace is leviathan but the skin is not as witish as the standard leviathan as has a lot of nuances of oranges, red/pink , browns….I think it´s spectacular and way superior to the standard leviathan. Keep up the good work. Congratulations.

Absolutely brilliant work man, using techniques that I’ve have been doing wrong, I try to rush it to much. @@jwminiatures Wow, ive been attempting to blend and glaze colors over time and felt like it was a hard step. I usually would give in and try to get that effect with dry brushing... You just helped me understand it in better in 10 mins then i ever have watching many many people do it before. Maybe I've just watched the videos and didn't comprehend them or didn't retain the information well. I just did a cloak on Trajan Valoris that was kicking my ass trying to bend the colors. Thank you mate. Honestly it just comes down to practice, you might want to check out kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hs2RaJtynsmRkX0.html in the meantime. You can get more control over your glazes by wicking away the excess water onto a paper towel before applying to your miniature.

When I did the carapace I thinned my paint with water and used a size 2 brush. Before I apply the brush to the model I wick off some of the excess water and paint on a paper towel. For wings and membranes you probably have a couple of options. You could go for black with a light dry brush of the carapace colours, you could do pink similar to the colours in the back of the head or you could something similar to the pipes and tongue. Probably around 2 hours or so but thats not really an accurate representation. It always takes longer when you are recording the process step by step for a tutorial.

At last soneone that: - uses some if the less famous GW colors, great hues - shows that an opaque color can easily be used to paint transparently acting like a contrast paints, the opposite is not true😊

@@jwminiatures unfortunately its been out of stock online for ages and isnt coming back anytime soon apparently :( Whats ur thoughts about thinned drakon nightshade to tint skin?
@jwminiatures
@jwminiatures Жыл бұрын
Ahh thats not good. Using nightshade for the blue sections? Yeah it should work, youll probably need to thin it a bit so its not too overpowering. Just test it out in a couple of sections first or maybe add some white and some water to thin it and increase the value
