Wonderful I did the left side parallel parking, I followed the steps to the letter and passed on the first try. I watched your video so much I could hear your voice as I parked the bus, lol!

Thankyou. If at all possible, never ever ever get tested at Elk Grove, IL. I did all the inspections 100% except 1 thing. As this day was rainy, fogging up the best A lot, the guy testing me was a pure ________ I didn't want to hit the cones, seeing was very difficult, but I could see, I don't wear glasses. I got out 1 Time, went forward, then he came beside the bus after I had ( 2 Tries ) 1 outside and 1 to straigten. As he was walking up from the back side of the drivers side, I could not hear him. I always called him sir, and yes sir--- Then he said very loud !! YOU FAILED, Park the bus. When I went in and he called me up to the desk, he handed me the FAILED paper. I said these exact words : Thankyou sir, have a great new years eve and and night. It was 10:30am 12-31-2018. On the way there in pretty nasty rain, fogging up the bus quite a bit, havint the side windows open. etc. I drove an Hour from Waukegan IL 60087 to Elk Grove IL. Doing the speed limit ( 65mph) With 100% Accuracy. This was the first time I ever drove on a highway, 65MPH In Nasty weather. Tomorrow is my second chance. Right now its Tues Jan 8th 2019. I dread doing this test because its at the same place, and the same little man will be testing me again. The reviews on this Facility has Horrable comments. One woman wanted to sue them. A man who was Military, And I also had a dad that was Like a Drill Sergant. This review, the man said in CAPS--I WILL NEVER EVER VOTE FOR JESSIE WHITE UNTIL HE EMPTIES THE SWAMP. And other reviews the same. I have never asked for anything. My attitude with all people is A+ . I asked, Please let me take the test anywhere else, as I will never step foot on that property there. And there were other Facilities in the area. The answer was; Go there or basically Good bye. And they Know If I don't get this job, there is a very bad chance I will loose my house and everything. I will go there and do my best as I always have. THIS IS A VERY STRONG WARNING. Anybody in Northeast IL- STAY CLEAR. GOD BLESS ALL

Wow! Sorry to hear That. Here in St Charles, there are several Test sites. We usually go to local.dmv.org/missouri/branch/driver-examination-super-site-saint-louis . They are great there as most sites are. You should be able to go to any state facility you chose. Keep trying.

Miaya Johnson I have never done any of these but I think the worst is I can’t remember the name but when you have to go in between the cones and then do the same in reverse.

Excellent video! In Texas the student has to take the key when they exit the bus (putting on air brake a neutral first).

Thank you for your reply. This video was done on a Hydraulic Brake Bus. And yes on any Bus you would put your Brake on before exiting the Bus.

h lender hey sorry I just meant instead if starting out pulling forward to start you going backwards. If you do not want to do it don’t worry about it I was just curious.

@@Daniel-cp8kt I think I see what you mean. If you want to start the video at the time the bus starts backing up then just drag the "play head" from the beginning to the position in the video where the bus starts coming back and release it. It will play from that position. That's the simplest way to do it. I do it all the time when watching other youtube videos and I want to bypass other parts of the video.. Hope that helps you.

Can someone tell me how far apart the cones are in the video?

The box you park in is normally "the bus length plus 15 ft". Also, the width on the box is 12 ft. Place a cone between the front two cones right in the middle and do the same for the back cones. Then on the side, place three cones equal distances apart between the front and back. Look in the video help you get the picture. Hope this helps.

Only problem is there is no way of really telling when your rear wheel lines up with the first cone. Even using the mirror you can miss judge it.

Thanks for your comment. As I said in the video you have to practice over and over until you find out what works best for you. Everyone is different in their perception of when the wheel lines up. I had to get out of the Bus time and time again until I was satisfied. The cone doesn't have to be dead even with the axle. It can be within the radius of the rear wheel to work. Again practice until you find your "sweet spot." Good luck.

@@Midwest51344 That is correct 2 get out and check. Use them. In fact the examiner wants you to use them. Remember to fasten you seatbelt when getting back in the bus.

That's true. However, this is only meant to pass the test. After the test, you're on your own. At least you will something to refer to. Whether or not you chose to refer to it is your choice.

h lender : The speed is perfect for the new student. Plus, this is considered a “slow maneuver” anyway. If someone wants it faster they can speed it up on their own phone or computer.
