Thank you for taking the time and effort in promoting the sport that we love so much. I enjoyed watching the video. I agree that passing is by far the most important skill that can always be improved on. The insight is interesting indeed. I have always encouraged the following... 1. Pass with your legs, not your arms. This concept is at the root of good passing, and control comes from bending at the knees... not at the hips or swinging the arms. 2. Beat the ball to the spot. Agree with the detective work in anticipating where the ball will be by watching the hitters shoulder, ball spin, wind, etc. This makes 1 above easier. 3. Shrug your shoulders as you make contact and lock out your elbows. Point your platform to your partner as if a board were attached to your arms is another common way to think of it.

Loved the tutorial, some great tips... Would be even more awesomer if you guys could include more video analysis of the technique in question. Maybe a playbook of sorts? Just keep serving at him and let him receive the balls while being video’d from all angles so we can see footwork, arms, body, head etc etc then provide an overlay of commentary/questioning on why... Listening to you guys explain is great but seeing would be so much better (for me at least!) Cheers Dazza

hey guys, thanks for the videos. it would be super cool if there could be a video say 5 minutes long which just shows someone passing. most tutorials repeat kinda the same thing. there is a study where they take 3 different groups of free throw shooters, 1) they dont practice, 2) they actual practice and 3) they visualize practicing. the visualization test group improved almost at the same improvement percentage. for me, visually watching in repetition and emulating what i am watching would be super helpful for me lets say in my living room as I am watchin the video. kind of like lets say watchin a tai chi video. tutorials are always helpful, but an actual video to watch, imitate and go through the actual movements in sync with the video i am sure would create more positive results, especially for someone like me who wants to become a better passer. you're tutorials are more hip vs other ones out there. Another thing, which may take time, and wish I lived by your guys, would be taking someone who has 'faults' and workign with them. having people see their faults, showing people how they progress with your coaching and repetitions and show that if this person can make improvements with corrections, so can others. just my 2 cents b/c im tryin to find a video that shows all this, and since i couldnt find, and you guys are cool, i thought i would share with ya both :) cheers and thanks for your videos. hopefully what i said makes sense and you guys take it on bc i am sure having such a video will increase confidence and skills for people liek me who want to be stronger passers! once again, thanks for all the videos you post :)

Where is the best place to stand when on serve receive? I believe I tend to be too far up sometimes but it feels like I'm in a good spot. Maybe it's different in indoor and that's what I'm going off? Anyways, any help would be great :)

Hey guys! I have a question that's been really bothering me. While passing, how long are you watching the ball? I feel the longer I watch the ball, I pass worse, sometimes delaying my reaction and causing me to not make a good angle with the ball. BUT I feel if I don't watch the ball I could miss movements that the ball can make, especially in a float serve. So what do i do?? I'm so confused. Essentially are you focusing on the ball the whole time?? thank you

How do you have an unstable head? It's not like you have a choice where to put your head. It's always over your shoulders

I believe its all about that feel, your body will gain experience by itself as you practice more. These tips and explanations are good but will not give you what you're looking for. Play, practice and then you will be able to provide your own tips just as he is doing.
