My wife walked through the office and overheard the content being spoken about. She commented "someone is torturing themselves so early in the morning". I replied, I'm picking up these vital tips so when that time comes and I do get audited , it's not a torturous and painful event, or at least I'll keep the bleeding to a minimal !!! Great video. 99% accurate. Your 💯 right, having the RIGHT CPA that knows your industry I think is also important. I went through 2 audits. I learned a lot for the 1st. Audits can be intimidating. Getting a bill from the audit I think is worse mentally. It was for us. Anyway, great video. Thank you for sharing with us.

There's a lot that an HSA can be used for as far as purchases. First aid supplies, OTC drugs, contact solution I have even used them for shoe insoles and if you get the medicated chapstick it may be covered. And the only taxes you will pay on that money is what is taken out at the register. It's not just for covering dr bills. Typically if you get an hsa debit card and make a purchase in the pharmacy section swipe that first and it will take all covered expenses off then the remainder isn't covered.

Off topic, but how do you feel about raising prices in 2023? Since we are in a recession should be be a bit more conservative compared to last year and stick to around 5% if our prices are already dialed in pretty well?

I can answer this one. It depends on your local market situation. If your dialed in pretty well 5% is probably a good number. If you want to be conservative. Do an increase to a small section of your coverage area and see what the results turn up. Those results will tell you whether to continue with the increase or perhaps keep prices the same and focus on cutting expenses. Two best ways to increase profit. You either increase sales or cut expenses!!

Landscape Business a course is geared for lawn care and landscaping. If you do above $800K in revenue or are in an industry besides lawn care I would recommend MBA4entrepreneurs to get higher level concepts

What about recouping taxes paid on fuel for equipment not used on highway? Do you capture this or take the loss?

You’ll just have to track your expenses for off highway fuel and bring it to your accountant.

Does lawn care qualify as a "home service"? I have a lawn care business and it is my first year and I want to do everything correctly from the beginning. And also be able to make a plan for saving money and how to spend it.

@@MikeAndes you my friend are a complete fraud! Almost all local services are funded from local sale and state taxes. Yup the police, fire, and most roads are 90+% from local sources. You are, a joke for giving terrible advice and hope you get sued
