It was just the delivery words that could have been different… I just know that so many Family Businesses, Husband and Wife Teams, Brothers that operate together, etc in our Green Industry and Farming and so on. We go through the same process and planning and chaos as anyone else that owns and runs a business. After my ambitions as a young man were accomplished, I learned and realized that the Profit Margin for this industry and probably others is good when you only have 1-6 employees. But to get to a TRUE NEXT LEVEL of Profit, a person must have 10 or more fully stocked crews for the actual owner to start making MORE PROFIT in his/her pocket. So, I made the decision to start solo, as a perfectionist at the age of 35. My business will grow to a certain point and then level out as it has now to a steady flow of year round income. So, over 29 years in the field working, I’ve gone from $8 per hour income to $80 per hour income. Definitely NOT trying to down play or discourage. I also know that many young people start a “business” and then get depressed because they realize they simply work 14 hours a day doing the same thing they would do if they were an employee. Nothing wrong with it if someone intentionally wants to stay small. I think that is a good move and can be profitable! I didn’t mean to down play. In listening to the recording, I see how it could be taken that way.
