The DB Pullover is a fantastic movement to build the lats, pecs, triceps, and much more! The way we chose to execute the movement will impact the muscles that we work. You can alter the technique and set up (on bench and off bench) to focus more on upper body or core focus.

I have been utilizing dumbell pullover one arm at a time on the floor for some time (as I hold the dumbell horizontal to not touch the floor and raise it in a slight angle out, going for a hybrid between lat/slight outer chest) and love what it does to my lats, serratus especially. At 6:58 you got my mental cogs turning, in todays training session, I'll try it on a slight decline ab bench holding my self in by the feet not to slide and increasing the effective range (perhaps hitting even lower in the lats?). Top notch vids. 👍

I do this for lats this is the only excercise that I feel targets them I feel no activation with pull ups

I had a shoulder problem on my left side about a year ago and When I do this exercise at the bottom that side seems to give way and it feel uncomfortable should I avoid this exercises ? It doesn’t hurt just doesn’t feel right. I do cable straight arm pulldowns at the gym and they feel fine

What are your thoughts on using a decline bench (like for decline sit-ups) to replicate the bridge position?

Could be a good option! I don't have one so hard to recommend on it, but if not too sharp of a decline could work well

instead of doing a glute bridge on the bench, just do it on decline.

Or you could do a straight arm pull down on a cable machine and have all the ROM you need.

A straight arm pulldown doesn't provide back support which reduces the amount of focus on the upper body.
