BYU Photo's Jaren Wilkey walks you through a typical photoday setup to capture portraits and posed action photos to be used in posters and other marketing materials for the BYU Football team. Jaren then demonstrates his techniques as he photographs sophomore quarterback Zach Wilson (now starting quarterback with the New York Jets).

Excellent Jaren. Loved this video. Especially loved the comment about distribution of light for getting into the helmet.

Hi - love this video & seeing a BTS look at your set up. I am excited to try shuttersnitch at my next shoot instead of the canon camera connect app. What do you like better about shuttersnitch than the canon app for wireless transmitting / viewing? Thanks!
@byuphoto
@byuphoto 5 жыл бұрын
Shuttersnitch is better in every way. It transfers the files quickly and consistently works. I've given up on canon's app.

@@MichaelCaterina Yes we are still using Shuttersnich and it works exceptionally well on the new iPad Pro's.

What settings were you using. The strobes were blazing so I would assume the power output was low. Thank you for the video.

Do the strobes keep up with your burst rate on your Canon ?
@byuphoto
@byuphoto 5 жыл бұрын
The Profoto D2's do a pretty good job, I generally get 4-6 shots off before they can't keep up. It also helps if you don't fire them at full power.

We use the wireless transmitters with the Canon 1DX Mark II to send jpgs to the iPad via the Shuttersnitch app. Check out our blog post in the description.
