By considering 2 simple, straight-forward variables, you will become much more savvy when selecting which yarn to use as your warp yarn. And when you are smart about your warp yarns, the entire weaving experience becomes a lot more fun! A LOT!!

A loom sure is like an obstacle course!! I warped my loom with yarn with a tiny bit of stretch... so far, so good! I’m really just learning and messing around anyway. I tried some fuzzy chenille yarn as the weft and it is BEAUTIFUL! I can see how it would be a DISASTER as warp though! Thanks for another great video and your always-encouraging words!

Thank you so much for the explanation! But how can one test a yarn at the craft store? I can't open the yarn from its package and stretch test it.

Good question! If the yarn is wrapped in plastic, that'll be tricky. But I find most yarn is accessible so you can feel the texture. And if you purchase a yarn once, you can start to track which fibers you like!
