A thing that helped me a lot with naafiri matchup is to always use your E on her dogs since they count as minions and every minion in Sol's E don't have movespeed when inside the E, also, limit testing him is also great, understanding the size of his hotbox is fundamental for me because it is smaller than it seems to be, and when you understand the size of it, no naafiri can hit anything on you

I would recommend to start with q lvl 1 against a melee and place yourself behind the enemy mage minions. If the oponent tries to come get any minions, just beam him. Most champion dont win against that. Careful tho it might not work against every champ. But it works really well against kata, qiyana, zed for example. It can set up a safe early game for you. Because the enemy will likely be half health and wont engage on you too much until the first back.

Yeah the reward was passive stacks! If neither character claims it til really late game, it's a pretty significant amount

Start with E? Especially after this minirework? I mean if there is an invade, you get lot more stacks with Q than with E. Plus Q deals a lot of damage early, so you are not as passive lvl1
