that's all mind games your brain plays on you. as inconsistencies kick in, your confidence goes down (or whatever is first) and your brain starts looking for an excuse/reason. changing something can have kind of a placebo effect, you're subconsciously expecting the change to have a positive effect, which leads to confidence boost and self fulfilling prophecy. until the effect wears off, maybe a couple hours of lack of concentration while throwing, maybe underlying everyday stress, whatever, and inconsistency greets again. you can pull of the peter wright and keep telling yourself that different days needs different darts, it might work for him, but from a logical standpoint it makes absolutely no sense and fucks up your muscle memory. i'm having these exact same problems with gaming by the way, i play competitively and have a habit of keep changing my input and sensitivity settings whenever i'm starting to play bad, and i know a lot of people do the same, it's a very common "disease". try to force yourself to settle on one thing and then stick with it, no matter what. it's all in your head.

Several times I have tried to make corrections to my throwing by changing the wrong thing. At first, I seemed to improve, but then I wasn't hitting well again. Try other solutions, you may need to be changing something else about your throwing That you didn't even realize.(Do a quick go-through of these videos double checking what you're doing)

Yes, I do too. I prefer thinner flights I find. I do use standards. Never really wanted to try different shapes. Rather thicker ones like you. Don’t forget the physics that the dart being heavier on it’s tail with 100 microns change the ballistic curve! Cheers!

Regarding the flights, i had the same issue then switched to winmau prism alpha flights which seem to be much more durable
