thanks for sharing, i found playing along with the live version from folsom that when my guitar is tuned down a whole step to D that these cord shapes work, G,C,D. i keep my acoustic tuned to D all the time and just use a capo. it just works for me.

I play it exactly like that in my country version but when I step up to some rockabilly the only major change is I don't put my pinky down for the B7. For some reason it bangs out a little more rockabilly tone but That's just my crazy opinion. You are Awesome please keep the lessons coming!

Thanx, I will try my best. That is a really common blues trick as well. Lifting the pinky gives it a lower tone sound that works in a lot of spots. I'm glad you like the lessons. Hi There, There is no D chord in this particular vid, but if you were going to play this song out of D then you would play then you would hammer on your index or 1st finger on the G string, 2nd fret. I hope this helps and thanx for watching

Hey Marty. Nice to see you back fighting fit. Love this tune, but feel as though I can't strum at that speed, as I'm too tense, or at least that's the best way I can describe it! I know you say it's easy, but you then blast into some seriously natural rhythm! Any advice on the strumming for his one? Cheers, Joe.

I know it's a cliché but practice x's 3 and then practice some more. The more comfy you get with chords changes the more natural the strum becomes. Good luck with it my friend and remember, I was there just like you are now,,it does get better, keep at it

Would this strum pattern work for Tennessee Flat top box..... it's close but seems to be different in the strum pattern.....if you're feeling up to it how about a tutorial on Tennessee flat top box....??

Remember that you play this same pattern through the whole song and usually you play it four times for every chord change, like I said pretty fast but practice it slow at first and then it should come. mrmitch mitch Yes, I am, My fingers are a little big so I started to play A with 2 fingers a long time ago, it's pretty simple if your fingers are a little thicker than most. I just hold down all 3 strings with 2 fingers. My 2nd finger holds down the D string and slightly touches the G string and my 3rd finger slightly touches the G string also and holds down the B string, I hope this helps, good luck!!

I learned by stumbling and playing along with other until the strumming came easier which is what I do on my channel. I know it may be hard to believe now but with more practice The strumming pattern will come after you are comfortable with the chords. Good luck

I think what he's doing is saying these are the chords, if you want to learn, get in and do some practice, then play along with him
