I teach how to play the left hand Octave-chord stride pattern that has become the hymn playing “standard,” with pointers on how to be as accurate as possible.

These instructional videos have been a wonderful help to me! I thank God that after 5 years of lessons and 3 piano teachers, all who knew I wanted to play nothing but hymns for church, I finally found your lessons on KZfaq! I could care less about your technical difficulties with your videos, because the teaching is spot on! I look forward to practicing now! May the Lord richly bless you.

So I could understand and see what you were showing us I used a mirror and turned the iPad around each time I needed to. It worked out good

I just realized yesterday that the hymn was mirror image. I’m going to try to flip those sections and re upload I think. I’m so sorry - that’s frustrating!

Oh thank you so much. So far I have listened to the first two lessons every time before I practice again just to be sure I am playing it right.

Can you cover how to play invitation type songs too? Songs that wouldn’t necessarily want the octave-chord pattern? 😄
@excellenceinchurchmusic31703 жыл бұрын
Yes, I’ll cover that in a separate episode probably. 👍

Yes, I caught that awhile ago, but unfortunately I would have to re record the entire video to fix the problem. I decided to leave up since there were many who seemed to be helped by it, bugs and all. I do apologize. I hope to one day have time to focus on the channel again and redo some of these.
