I would love a tutorial on " You Are My All in All". I'm older and am quite comfortable with traditional hymn style . It's a little harder for me to keep the right tempo in some of the newer chorus type.

I have a basic idea of how to do it, but it sounds so bland and doesn't flow. I'd also like to see videos on how to get that gospel style sound in your playing and how to play a song in different styles.

I am a Music Director in the Catholic Church and the Worship Book we use has alot of wonderful songs and hymn tunes in it. I was wondering if, you could do a future video on hymn tunes "Amazon" which is associated with the hymn "O For A Thousand Tongues To Sing" and on the hymn tune called CWM RHONDDA that is associated with hymns like God Of Grace And God Of Glory, or Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah of how to play these hymn tunes with a majestic sound through out that these hymn tunes deserve.

Thanks for sharing! Was wondering if you could do some kind of tutorial on the David Combs, Rachel's Song medley. I have purchased the book on line, and I am working hard to learn on my own to be able to play these peaceful pieces at the Nursing home. Once a month I go to play hymns and other quiet piano for about an hour. I purchased your hymn playing course so that I could learn to play arrangements better. I have a good understanding of chording, and after using a lot of fake book music by Hal Leonard I can pretty much incorporate chords and arppegiated chords into the left hand. However, I seem to have a hard time reading both treble clef and base clef at the same time, so I can't t seem to make arrangement flow like I want them to. The understanding is in my head, but doesn't get into my fingers🥴 I always do better when I see chord notations above the treble clef.

I have started filling in at my church for our pianist when she can't be there. I am not used to hymn playing, so your videos have been really helpful! I am thinking about doing the hymn playing course on your website. I have two questions before I do that though - 1, The hymnal we use is "best loved songs and hymns" which are in shape notes and they are a challenge for me to read. Have you ever used this hymnal and do you have any suggestions for that? 2, The hymn style my church is used to is similar, but a little different than your own. Do you believe I would benefit from your course even though the style I am working toward is a little different?

How do you keep your hands from running into each other using this pattern? It looks like you leave off playing the thumb note part of the chord if your hands will collide, or do you vary the position of the chord? I'm in Level 4 of the Henry Slaughter hymn course and he teaches this pattern and learning to play the full chord in both hands, but with the chord positions he originally taught in book 1, I'm having trouble with my hands running into each other. What do you suggest? Thanks
