I simply cannot read the sheet music for the left hand on whatever piece I am trying to play. I can't figure out where it's supposed to be. I am grateful for this video because I don't have to worry about that problem. I find it much easier to have someone show me what to do than to look at a piece of sheet music & figure it out.

She played the harmonic minor scale in the beginning folks which has the 7th (Bflat) raised by a half step to B.

I’ve been using sheet music but I don’t play the melody. Instead, I bring my right hand down to play the base part, then when the cello’s part comes in, I use my left hand to play that. I don’t play that the whole way through though because I then need to use my right hand to go back up to accompany the chorus while the left hand goes back to playing the base. I prefer this because it preserves something of the cello part and keeps the melody for singing.

Have been learning this for several weeks now and find that intro easier to share the Bb cord with both thumbs. Just got into habit of doing it that way on this introduction. Love your videos. 👍

I heard a teacher somewhere once say if you're having trouble with a tie, ignore it when you're learning the piece and just play the note again as if there were no tie to keep time, and later on just take the extra note out once you get the feel for it.

Please explain? I thought C minor has a Bb and not a natural B? I'm new so I don't really know what I'm talking about so maybe you can explain? Cuz the song has a Bb also in it but when she played the scale she showed it as only having 2 flats and C minor sheet music and also in circle of fifths pictures shows it with 3?

If the song is in the Cm scale, doesn't it have a Bb in it? But when you play the scale you play a B instead of Bb.

I'm sorry but I think your missing 1 flat note in the C minor scale; there are 3: Eb, Ab and Bb.

She is playing the song in the key of F dorian ( 1 2 b3 4 5 6(!) b7) which has very little to do with C harmonic minor wich is the scale she is playing in the beginning.🙄

Now the Demi Lovato version is amazing too.
