Getting kills with Mega Man’s up air is the most satisfying kills.

For those that are wondering, the button for Z-drop is more accurately the grab button.

Honestly I still can't believe Mega Man is in Smash. Along with the other 3rd party characters, the fact that all of these iconic game characters are in one fighting game still boggles my mind.

So in brief: Megaman is a zoner and an anti-zoner at the same time, he’s strong against other zoners but struggles against rushdowns. Use his lemons to pester your enemy, they’ll hate you for it tho. Use specials to attack from full screen. Arials to chase your opponent. Smashes to punish and never forget that his up tilt kills. Is that an accurate summary?

Love it but I would try to avoid using bowser jr for training mode because his passive damage resistance/ increased damage taken. Makes it a little confusing

I’m super glad I found this. Thank you for making these. I’m trying to get my friend into smash and they said they wanted to play my favorite character. So I suggest mega man. They thought about it and came back and said “I’d like to play the blue bomber, sure why not”

I'm glad to hear that the Crash Bomber actually has a use, I thought it was practically a special to never be used because opponents can easily just shield the bomb effect. For some reason, I didn't think of using it to bait out shield and grab 'em. I also didn't know that you could use it for ledge guarding.

I watch Mega Man videos all the time. The all recommend picking up the Metal Blade and throwing it but you are actually the first person to explain why. Thank you.

Little fun tip here.. Lemons don’t stop cannon balls and spikes but metal blade will. Metal blade will even send DDD’s spike back at him.

0:40 there’s a few things wrong with that though. The MegaMan originally called rock man was not given his name because of the rock ‘n’ roll thing it was actually because of the rock paper scissors nature of the game. There was also consideration given to calling him rainbow man because of the color change he went through every time he switched abilities. And truthfully Capcom didn’t have faith in the mega man series. Because the first one did poorly, they would have just shelved the idea and that would’ve been it. The only reason there was ever a sequel was because The programmers liked the first one and wanted to have a second chance of the sequel. they were given the go ahead, but only under the condition that it only be done on their spare time. It was only with the success of MegaMan 2 that Capcom started truly seeing its potential as a franchise.

His forward smash is also really good for catching ledge get ups, if you time it you can hit jumps, normal get ups, get up attacks, and rolls. Thanks to its range and hitbox it also hits opponents ON ledge

I feel like he should’ve been able to rapid fire his Megabuster by holding the attack button like he does in his games

I’ve been putting on a lil practice with Mega Man. Problem is that the meta is so sword based so mega man a character who needs either be in your face or keep you distanced can’t deal with characters like Roy and Chrom that can swiftly ledge pressure you. I like Mega Man but too many sweat heads around here lol

What a coincidence! The two characters that appear in this video are my two Smash 4 mains! I mained Bowser Jr when Smash 4 came out, but eventually gave him up for Mega Man.

Mega Man really is fun to use but I feel like the only thing missing that should’ve been added would be the ability to rapid fire his neutral attacks like he was able to in his games by holding the fire button but it’s not included for some reason

I would like to give a shoutout for the Mega Man Medley 2 to convince me to main Mega Man. That theme is straight up fire 🔥

The one thing that makes me wonder about Megaman is how does he pummel exactly? Is he like squeezing the opponent or does he have a screw inside his hand that pinpoints the backs of them

I've been maining my childhood hero since smash 4. And he's super easy to use, I'm good. But not that good. My cousin says I'm not using megaman's full potential. And i should work on my air recover when I'm thrown off the stage. Combos are good but need practice more.

please nintendo... yes i have no idea of the actual mega man games and ive never played them BUT i (for some reason) wanted megaman since n64 in super smash bros. so: for the second dlc, please give us one of the other mega man chars - no idea whats there but this chars mechanics are SO fun. would love to see one of the teen looking chars that appear when you activatehis super :D

Sometimes you can open up with saw, down throw and like 4 fairs leading into a dair off stsge. It's hard to hit unless you do it unexpectedly but it's dirty of it hits.

Mega man really got shafted. I mean byleths neutral B is basically Marth’s final smash across the entire screen. Covers the whole field instantly once charged. Meanwhile none of megaman’s projectiles can reach further than a few feet in front of him.

His up air can kill pretty early if you chain 2 together like up air 2 times in the air you can take them to the top of the stage and kill at low percents

I usually use his side smash mostly because it’s ranged and I can stay away from enemies that rely on close range attacks like Incineroar

Ive found a new way to ledgeguard with megaman. You know that flame blast has a long lasting hitbox? The last moments of the hitbox hit below ledge so no more ledge grapping

I wish this original megaman could summon his dog,rush, and fuse together as his final smash attack.

You see the cool thing about Playing MegaMan is you lose the right to enter 1/2 arenas without getting removed.
