My Citra has this weird bloom-like effect and the image isn't as defined as yours is. I'm sure I installed the textures correctly and everything, what could I be doing wrong?

I believe its the stereoscopic effect. You should disabled that.

@@bruteforce1203 Okay, it was disabled already. I'm having a new problem though, I straight up just can't play MH4U. It crashes every time I try to start the game and I can't get past the main menu. It wasn't having this issue at all 8 hours ago when I first played it

@@bruteforce1203 it was during character creation, no letters or anything, just white blocks. This was also after installing the hd texture pack

@@Gmose869 haven't encounter that yet, maybe you can disable texture first while character creation. Then use it afterwards. Will check it later too bro.

@@bruteforce1203 I have the same issue and when I reactivated the texture pack all the text were still replaced by blocks. Menu screen text and npc text are all messed up. Any solutions?
