That's it a quarter step down!!!! You are amazing! I've always wondered why my tone was a bit off. No tabs say to do this that I could find. God bless you sir.

You did great on that one! Learned it from your vid when I started playing 2 years ago, and it was hard and slow. Today I checked back and it feels so good playing it effortlessly as yo did. Great job! Would’ve been nice to see you do more like this. Cheers, Richard from Paris

@ramsoVV for most pantera fans/guitarists, the quarter step goes without mention. thats just how he always tuned. and there are songs before DP with dropped tunings, not to split hairs or anything

@DirtBagBoy91 and facehookedup: In I'm Broken the guitar is tuned down ONE AND A QUARTER STEPS! And Dime didn't do songs in drop tunings until Damageplan. I personally think it sounds much fatter and heavier when you play the main riff like I--5h7~--5h7~------------2----------------I I------------------7--5---3--0----------------I CHEERS :D

How do you know dime played it different? Ive never seen a live version of this song.. Not doubting you, but would love to see how dime did this one!
@domvarsalone12 жыл бұрын
Dude if u watch the guitar clinic he tells u he uses drop tunings but he was able to play mostly anything in any tuning between standard and dropped. Everyone has summin different to say bout dime but he was never set on one thing he switched shit up but he deff used drop tunings his whole career, if it fits use it, u need a really freakin open mind to play like dime, I give him hi own genre he was more into his music then anyone ever n it was pure from him, regardless of influences
@blakkblood15 жыл бұрын
Can you tell me the link to that pantera clip mate? Cheers!
@BadSoundsGood14 жыл бұрын
well not totally. primal concrete sledge is dropped D, but i'm broken is D standard. there are a few others in dropped D but once he did Damageplan they were mostly dropped B
@mrspidey8914 жыл бұрын
what kind of distortion pedal do you use?
@m169marroquin12 жыл бұрын
Don't you know drop tuning is not the same as drop "D" I saw the video and he says drop tuning which is 1 whole step down standard.
@GREGGERNAUT9213 жыл бұрын
did you use a flanger? i thought i heard it throughout. i myself had an electric mistress given to me from my dad. the thing was from the 70's, its a shame it crapped out on me lol
@Noga3614 жыл бұрын
im broken is in D standard. if you cant see that in the video you dont know how to play guitar. dime didnt do songs in drop tunings until damageplan.

The entire album of far beyond driven , and a lot vulgar are a full step down , Grady champion his guitar tech has said it .. Great southern trend kill is in drop b 1 and half steps down
