How to plot any graph in physics. In this video I discuss four things you have to know when plotting graphs in physics. These 4 things will make plotting any in physics graph a more favourable experience.
You will learn about scaling a graph, drawing the line of best fit and how to determine which quantity to plot on the y and x axes.

Physics is a science that deals with matter and energy and their interactions. It is concerned with systems, laws, models, principles and theories that explain the physical behaviour of our world and the universe. Physics is regarded as a fundamental scientific discipline since all advances in technology can be traced either directly or indirectly to the physical laws and theories.
The CSEC Physics Syllabus is redesigned with a greater emphasis on the application of scientific concepts and principles. Such an approach is adopted in order to develop those long-term transferrable skills of ethical conduct, teamwork, problem solving, critical thinking, innovation and communication. In addition, it encourages the use of various teaching and learning strategies to inculcate these skills while, at the same time catering to multiple intelligences and different learning styles and needs. The syllabus will assist students to develop positive values and attitudes towards the physical components of the environment and will also provide a sound foundation for those who wish to pursue further studies in science.

Good day Sir looking at data point 3 and data point 4 can measure the distance in millimeter from the data point to the best fit line and then declare these distances are so close that the data point above the lines' distance is the same as the data point below the line??? your comment(s) is eagerly awaited. thx Ibrahim (all the way from South Africa)

Thank you sir, my question is this . When you have the starting point (0,0) , can you draw the best fit line without starting to the orgin ?? Please explain me clearly
@JuniorRoberts1
@JuniorRoberts1 Жыл бұрын
Yes you can draw the best fit line without it passing through the origin (0,0). If the data values have a point the correspond to (0,0) the best fit line will pass through the origin but generally once you have accurately plots all your points based on the trend you can determine if the best fit line should pass through the origin

Can you start a graph not from 0 . For example if you have really large numbers on x - axis can you start from 30 and go from there or should you always start from 0.

@@JuniorRoberts1 one more question , the scale that we choose for our graph for example 1:1 , does it need to be the same for x axis and for y - axis , or could we us a scale of 1:5 on the x - axis and 1:1 on the y - axis
