ppl always seem to have trouble with plugging in the front panel cables
f_usb/ pwr led =- /usb_3.0/HD audio/pwr sw/reset sw/hdd led/ led pwr /speaker/
heres a quick video on how you plug route and plug in the front panel cables
now from left to right it usually goes like this from top left to right
pwr led + - /pwr sw/blank pin then theres another 9 pins and speaker is usually the top 4 pins
hdd led +- /reset sw/ single pin
note: its important when u plug in the hd audio and the f_usb, you align the pluf with the pins
theres always a pin missing forboth hd audio and f_usb
if you plug it in the wrong way
1. wont work
2. youll make a hole in the plug cuz the pin will plug a hole due to not being lined up
usb 3.0 has a tab you follow top ensure its plugged in correctly
reset sw and power sw can be plugged in any way, as long as its plugged in , these simply work by touching together wen u press the button and short to each other in order to reset or power on or off
most pcs have 4pins for speaker , but its really the outer 2 pins that matter, it doesnt matter how u plug the speaker in as long as you plug it in with pos and neg in the right spots, you can plug them in reverse and itll still beep
some it mobo only have 2 pin for speaker, in this cxase just unclip the pos or neg and place them next to each other and plug it in

true dat .. I know what u mean ... lol.. however there would always be a user manual u can check whether in your box or download online ... I started my first pc build wen i9 9900k was the best 👌..now I just can't get enough of doing it .. there's something about building your own pc and putting the time and effort into cable management and seeing the end result and that satisfaction of turning it on and having it work first go.. no better feeling

If your not sure what direction the front panel cables are inserted. The letters generally face down when inserting

not always ..only for led pwr and hdd led whereas for reset sw and pwr sw it doesn't matter as there isn't polarity to follow

My pc case had all the front panel connectors all put together so I didn't need to fiddle with the individual pins, it's the msi gungnir 120r case, it made things so much easier

@@nicnac228 Yes, I solved it, it was pretty straightforward. You need to align the All in one Front panel connector to the Front panel Header. There should be one empty pin on the Motherboard header, you just need to align it to the Front panel connector.

My pc chassis has a rgb fan that didn't let me change the color. It would only be on rainbow mode. Thanks for the correction. I got the problem solved ❤❤❤

Im building with a a320m a pro mother board and CIT Seven Mini case but every time i try to connect usb connector or any other front panel connector it has a very high resistance when i try to push on it

Mine does the same it feels like il break it all the pins match up but it’s extremely difficult Same with the usb3.0 literally superglued to the pins apparently

Hello, I have a ASUS PRIME B560-PLUS. Im not able to turn on my pc now because Im not sure if im missing anything but my only cables left are just the hyte pre installed fans and I dont see the power or any cables from the case. Can you help please?

not all mobo front panels look the same u need to find the main header..sometimes they in in sets of 9 very similar looking to the usb 2.0 header... msi call it jst I believe something like that ..

also of its an older model sometimes it's merged into one 10 to 12 pin . i've seen asus models that use a 9pin style that looks like the usb 2.0 connector header. but wenever in doubt google the name and model and usually under support u can find a user manual

bud u must be using the wrong cables, because all cases have the same cable and wire thickness for the front panel connectors , if you tell me what case and mobo your using ill be able to tell u right away where your connectors are and where to plug them in

regardless if the cables are in colours, the main thing to look for are your main cables, you always have your 24p atx, then your gpu cable which will be a set of 8pins (6+2) and lastly the cpu cable once you have these cables sorted, the rest is simply your sata and molex , you cant really go wrong with molex or sata cuz they can only plug into a certain type of plug, ssd and hdd use sata , m2 ssd are installed onto your mobo so no cables there.. its pretty straight forward, always use your owners manual as a guide and check out a few youtube clips prior ...if i can help more, just shoot me a msg

All of my front panel cables are conjoined into a 10 pin header and do not fit in the mobo slot

I got mine connected but no mic unfortunately, I’m such a dummy and can’t get my audio n mic to work properly. When I do my audio is like mono and difficult to hear on fps. Plug into my expensive monitor great audio no mic lol I should of bought a prebuilt I’m to dumb

omg yes... I've done it so many times where I have even bent the pins trying.. just go slow line it up first and u just might feel it slip in... there's 19 pins all together so just be careful

@@MIKEYZVLOGZ so basically, when I plug my headphones in my front audio panel, the computer will read my headphones and says theres audio coming to it, but i cant hear anything at all. At first I was like ok its just the front panel, but lo and behold the rear audio jacks have the same problem. I disconnected the hd audio cable and connected it back nd it did nothing. Updated drivers, bios, everything. My next option is 1. Get a new front audio panel for my pc, or I might just need a whole new Mobo

@@driftvibezyt do you use aux or USB? Your mobo might not have a soundcard or the appropriate connectors. Could be a software issue as well.

there's a header that will be labelled f_ panel.. usually 9pins that's where u plug then in and wat do u mean by other end? one end is from the pc. ase front panel audio set usbs and power button a d reser button

depending on the case... you don't get cables with mobo.. u get cables with pc case .. sometime u can resuse ..but its rare..because every case is made different unless u get an identical front panel and ur case uses the exact same layout of front panel connectors

My usb 3 socket are blocked by my vga because the socket are under the vga, do you have any ideas how i can use the socket (example: with additional extender?)

@@MIKEYZVLOGZ idk.what it called, but yeah the socket are too close with the pci-e slots, so if i want to use vga card, I can't plug the usb 3 on the board, and vice versa

@DarkPanzerID ok so what u Ned to do is use a usb right angle plug adapter so that it can plug into your usb 3.0 header and then allow u to plug in sideways..I have done this before for the type c header because sometimes the gpu vga is in the way of the plug ...so u need to use a adapter ..I will do a short and shoe u what I mean tonite

u def plugged in the audio plugged in right n ur using a cable that transfers audio then lastly make sure u select the right device to plat ur audio such as speakers or TV or monitor that has speakers

u simply plug the cables into the unified plug like how a gigabyte mobo uses a g connector... its just an adapter that allows u to plug all the cables into it. and then u plug that g connector into tour mobo as a unified plug
