Can you polish resin? Yes! I show you how to polish out minor imperfections on your finished resin pieces using a dremel. You can easily do the same thing with a microfiber cloth and some elbow grease as well.

As always, be safe when working with resin or paint. Work in a well ventilated area. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby. Wear a respirator and nitrile gloves when working with resin and mica powders.

The maker for Flitz doesn't list its active ingredients, but it and the green buffing compound are both made with chromium oxide. Essentially, what you are doing is buffing chrome particles into the gashes to alter the light reflection and make a surface appear more polished.

Thanks for watching! If you do look for another dremel, you might want to look at the flex shaft knock off from Harbor Freight. The price is comparable to a nice dremel.

I tried that with my Dremel but I think the speed was too high cause it dug a gouge in my resin I think I need to get a fluffier cotton top

Yes. You need that fluffy ball like I have. And it doesn't need to be fast to work. Hardly any pressure either. Just let it float.... if that makes sense. Flitz works faster than the green rouge but either works very well.

Is your dremel piece damp or dry and you just apply the flute polish on?

What is this polish called? There is a brown polish that came in the power tool box - can I use that or do I need to purchase something that's specific for resin?

Thank you Dania for watching! Unfortunately I iave no brown polishing compound. I'm going to guess it's a grittier version of the green rouge. Try googling polishing rouge's and see if that brown one comes up.

Rouge means red in French. So ur calling the green compound green red. Rouge is the color not the product. That polish compound comes in different colors for various grit. Can we please make this incorrect claim that rouge is a anything more the the description of the color die here once and for all. I wish right
