Hey I really appreciate that! Do you have any bad symptoms? Any noises? Sometimes if the car is already up on the lift and the body panels underneath are off you can go ahead and do it. No harm in doing it early. I was trying to diagnose a steering problem and this was part of the elimination process :)

@@DasCayman I'm not having any issues at all. I just went out to the garage to check the fluid and it actually looks very good - quite clear and slightly yellow tinge to it. I would say it is most likely good. What goes bad with the PS fluid? Does it absorb water like brake fluid? That is another can of worms...brake fluid! It is a closed system so I can't really see how it absorbs water. I check mine regularly with a brake fluid tester and get a green light even after 4-5 years. I just don't see the need to change it if it isn't showing water. What do you think about this? Thanks! -Tom

@@aboyandhisdog Hey Tom, yeah those little $20 brake fluid testers are great. Nice first pass way to check if your fluid is good or not. If you don't track your car, then you're fine. But if you're Mario Andretti every weekend and there is water in your fluid then it can boil, create air, and you'll lose your brakes after very hard lapping. As for the power steering fluid, it can break down and lose its viscosity. But since yours is OK, I'd keep on keeping on! Thanks for the comments! Happy to chime in.

Yes!

It's a "lifetime" fluid unfortunately. The flush helped, but I had to replace the inner and outer front tie rods from the steering rack to really fix the issue. If the problem still persisted I'd have to install a new steering rack.

Hey Doug I bought a three foot piece of vinyl plastic hose with a 1" ID. I'm going to slip it over the fitting and zip tie it. I think it'll work better with much less leakage.

I agree. Using a tube that will slip over the hard line will work much better
