How to power down a 2GIG GC2 Go Control Panel

This is a quick guide on how to power down a 2GIG Go Control Panel by CAPO Security based out of Central Florida. CAPO Security has been installing 2GIG Technologies Systems since 2010. Very helpful video, thank you. OmniGuard is my provider, WA state. Used this Control Panel, and now is totally disabled thanks to this video. Never used the alarm, came with the house and I don't need/want.

Thanks for posting. I had to power down mine because I don’t have access to codes from previous homeowners! Question: Why do you have to unplug those two wires even if there’s no battery and you’ve unplugged the unit from the outlet? The part about those wires touching reminds me of “crossing the streams” in Ghostbusters! I put electric tape over them for now.

I just had the same issue, thus landing me here. Alarm just started going off today. I pulled power from the main box and just pulled the battery from the panel. Should that be off now?

If the transformer is easily accessible then you can just unplug the transformer instead of unscrewing the first and second terminals. Sometimes the transformer is in a location that is not accessible easily

The code is incorrect according to my system I just purchased this home and there are no instructions to reset please help

I unplug the speak/siren plug. I tried to put it back on and the alarm was so loud I haven touched it since. How can I put that plug back on with out the loud siren noise? Please help me :-(
